Mesa Verde to Four corners

We headed to Mesa Verde and loved it so much that we spent way too much time there!! Suffice it to say we were arriving at the Grand Canyon in AZ around 9pm in the dark and SNOW!!

Mesa Verde is a park in SW CO. It was absolutely gorgeous and the cliff dwellings were neat!! They had just closed Cliff Palace the day before for the entire season...what timing!! We at least got to see it from a distance and toured a smaller version called Pine Tree house.

Then we drove on to the four corners of CO, UT, AZ and NM! What a gorgeous drive!! Off in the distance I could see a protrusion that I could not identify at all. We discovered that we were looking at Ship Rock in NM!! It looked really cool!! Like an awesome castle from the distance!
