Where's Waldo?

I am back working in Colorado springs. It stinks to even sit at traffic lights here!! Ok, I like it ALOT more than the flatlands of CO!! I missed the mountains this winter. Not much more than 3 one inch snow storms. Well you have seen the previous blogs..... So glad I had visitors who wanted to ski!! Thanks guys!! It was great to see you all and hit the mountains this winter!!




General Palmer had the right idea founding a town Right here in front of Pikes Peak...no wonder I like it here so much. (no relation though)




So of course one of the first things I did after contacting my friends and moving back into my old apartment complex....was to go hiking!!

My friend Wendy had been hiking in Waldo Canyon before. Its a great hike about 7miles long just 30 minutes from Colorado Springs. Right around the corner (literally on rt 24) from Manitou springs where the Cog Railway takes you up Pikes Peak.


A rather large outcrop of Quartz just as we started on the trail....still near the road...that disappeared fairly quickly.

Wendy is such a good influence. I need to stretch more often!!
