Cinco de Mayo...almost

I was in downtown Santa Barbara on Saturday May first and ran into an early Cinco de Mayo festival. The down town area is gorgeous! Lots of adobe buildings.

Shopping downtown

Turned a corner and found this really cool staircase and a balcony above.

The Santa Barbara Mission

Founded in 1786! Boy I really wasn't paying attention in my history classes!!

A tree with crutches!!

When I first moved out here I organized a trip to the channel islands for a group of friends from the east coast that were here temporarily as well. Here is the link to a ton of gorgeous pics in case you are not on facebook. You can access the album without a facebook account! Enjoy!
