Gold Rush Days



For 10 years Sacramento CA has been home to the annual Gold Rush Days festival. My dad emailed me the info when I first moved out to CA. I thought I would go check it out.

It was held in the old town of Sacramento. They put dirt down on the roads for the festival and it is closed to motor vehicle traffic... hooves were allowed!! : )

There is some really cool architecture in Sacramento.

I decided to take the back roads home and I probably should have taken them on the way there not home! It was getting a bit dark on some narrow curvy roads!!

When I see Mt Diablo and the windmills I know I am close to home...

Then I started driving away from them....why?? Next thing I knew I was circling the island again!!


Then I finally figured out that I had to take the ferry across the canal from the island I was on!!
