Into the wild blue yonder

So I only had to work until 12 on the day of the Airforce graduation..so I figured I would drive north on 25 and see what I could find! This theater was right across from the football field! Gives a whole new meaning to drive in theaters!! Thank goodness the theater owners didn't mind...or charge us! : )

I had the honor of going to my cousins graduation from the Academy 2 years ago. So proud of him!! He is now a pilot!!! This was a completely different angle for the Thunderbird airshow! Awesome with Pikes Peak in the background and a few with the Airforce Chapel.

I think you can click on any of these to enlarge the picture... They are awesome on the whole computer screen!!

Gives a whole new meaning to drive in theaters!!

I wasn't the only one with this idea!!

Gives a whole new meaning to front row seats!! Really long lunch hour!

My front row seats!!

The initial fly by wasn't as much of a surprise to us!! They fly over just as the new Grads throw their caps in the air!

one of many fly overs

Look closely at the base of the snow

The Airforce Academy chapel is up on the hill in this one.

Ouch, this looks like it would have hurt!! Awesome seats from that building though!! Or maybe mine were awesome!!!

Lots of police cars and black vehicles....hmm... VP maybe?? Biden spoke at graduation this year.
Look at the stands at the stadium

Notice the stands at the stadium. see any difference from the previous picture? You can read more of the airforce. I just sat and kept reading Twilight.. I had a difficult time putting it down even for the airshow...ok so I never put my camera down for the air show... I took over 100 pictures and only posted about 20 here!! : )
